Our kitchen is conveniently located in Morningside, just over the Gateway Motorway bridge on Brisbane’s south side. This great location means we are not only close to the Brisbane CBD and transport links, but we are also close to logistics and commercial facilities – great news if you need to get to a venue quickly for a catered event or you’re ready to ship out your delicious products!
DES KITCHEN includes: cold, freezer and dry storage spaces, large prep area and multiple work benches, a six-tray combi oven, industrial food processor, multi-burner gas stove, full range of utensils, commercial dishwasher and Ivario Multi-Function Cooker. We also have some warehouse space available for storage (additional fee applicable), bathroom and break room facilities, and convenient parking.

Yes. If cooking, preparing, or packing food items that are for sale whether directly or through catering events or third parties, a copy of your valid Public Liability Insurance and Food Business Licence will need to be received for all DES Kitchen bookings.

You sure can! We offer options for small groups of up to four people to share the space with another group of four, making it even more economical for you. See the price section of our website for more information.
In addition to our own famous Saucy Wench and her band of Dumpling Dollies who create delicious Asian sauces and cook-at-home dumplings each week, DES Kitchen is currently used on occasion by local chefs for cooking classes and food preparation, local artisanal food producers, food photography shoots and food vendors for preparation. Absolutely! We know hospitality and food services are a 24/7 business, so we make our kitchen services available to suit your needs. We can provide you with secure access outside of business hours – just let us know when you make your booking.
As long as you clean the kitchen and facilities (bathroom, warehouse etc) and leave it in the state that you found it when you arrived – we won’t charge you for cleaning.
Should cleaning be required after your booking, you will be invoiced additionally. We take pride in keeping our kitchen spick and span for health and safety reasons, and we trust you will too!
Of course! If you need a run-through of any of the equipment we have on-site, or need some help with running the kitchen effectively, just ask us.
As we run our own food products business, we know what it’s like, and we’re only too happy to help you out so you can make your foodie dreams a reality!
